What Separates Hearses?
Many people see a hearse and turn their head. They look down at the ground and try not to think of what these vehicles symbolize, but when a loved one rides in the first car of the procession, the hearse is the centerpiece of the procession. You will want your loved one’s last ride to be perfect, and there are differences in funeral cars available that matter to some customers.
Traditional Landau Style
Landau bars are so common that it wouldn’t be such a foolish thing to assume all funeral cars have them. What are landau bars? They are the little sideways handles on the the sides of hearses. They originated back in the mid 18th century and were used to conceal hinges. These days, the landau bars are purely for aesthetic value. A landau-style hears will have these bars, two doors in the front, and one door in the back.
Limousine Style
A limousine-style hearse will look like a cross between a landau-style hearse and a traditional limousine. It will be a bit more open looking with windows up and down both sides. If you or your loved one prefers something a bit more sleek and stylish over traditional, then this might be the best choice.
SUV Hearses
Not all funeral cars are necessarily cars these days. If you like the idea of more space or a vehicle unassociated with these darker moments, then you might consider an SUV hearse.
